The students of first year shall offer six subjects from following.In view of the Judgment and order dated 11.2.2009 of the Supreme Court of India, the college has established an Anti-Ragging Cell. If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the college authorities, the accused student will be given an opportunity to explain, and if his/her explanation is not satisfactory, the authority would expel him from the institution. The college has "Zero Tolerance" towards ragging. Abeda Inamdar Senior College in association with M.C.E. Society has started vigilance through C.C. T.V.
The college has placed "Suggestion Boxes" at prominent places to address the grievances of the students.
The PAI Career Academy, a Competitive Examination Center of the college is setup to coach, train and guide students appearing for various national and state level competitive examinations conducted by bodies like the UPSC, MPSC, PMT, SET, NET etc. and other sectors like Railways, Insurance, Banks, etc. Due care has been taken for shaping the career of the students during their graduation with the help of the Academy. The experts in various fields are invited to guide, counsel and help students select the proper career and to prepare them for various competitive examinations. The cell has a separate well equipped library containing books, magazines, periodicals, etc.
As per the rules of the University of Pune, a student seeking admission to the first year B.A./B.Com./B.Sc./B.B.A./B.B.A.(CA) and B.C.A.(Science) class has to undergo a medical checkup without which the student will not be allowed to appear for the University examinations. Details of the medical checkup will be notified on the notice board. For further treatment of ailments and emergency medical help, students can contact the Medical Officer, ZVM Unani Medical College on the campus. The Dental checkup facility is also available for the students & staff at M.A. Rangoonwala College of Dental Sciences & Research Centre in the campus
Each year the college constitutes the Students Council as per University guidelines. Participation of the Class Representative helps the college administration in solving the problems of the students.
As per the directives of the Director of Students Welfare, Savitribai Phule Pune University, our college has established a Women’s' Council for the welfare of the girl students. This council conducts various seminars on subjects like health awareness, employment opportunities, personality development, public speaking etc. This council also makes the services of a professional counselor available to the students, and the counselor provides counseling for careers and job opportunities, as well as for personal and emotional problems. The council organizes workshops on "Effective Parenting' for the parents of the students too.
The poor and needy students are provided with 'Karma veer Bhaurao earn and learn scheme' facility in the college during regular college days. The college management contributes 50% finance to this scheme and 50% share is borne by the University. The deserving students can avail of this opportunity for their academic development. In addition to the Earn and Learn scheme, the college management is kind enough to help the poor and needy students by providing financial assistance to these students.
*Our college teachers contribute Rs 50/-each per month for supporting the education of the poor and needy students. This good-will gesture helps many students to complete their education.
The college has established a separate Counseling Cell. All Head of the Departments work as Senior Counselors. Students are advised to take benefit of it.
The college has initiated research activities under ISTRA. It has collaborations & MoU's with International Universities. The parent M. C. E. Society has contributed seed money of 40 Lakh to initiate inter-disciplinary research in all subjects.
Under “Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013” the college has established a Statutory Committee, comprising of members from the teaching and non-teaching staff, and students who look into matters related to sexual harassment of students and staff in the college. The college is extremely alert to matters pertaining to sexual harassment and gender insensitivity. Any person aggrieved in this matter may fearlessly approach the Principal/Committee for a fair and concerned hearing and a speedy redressal.
